Setting in the Door
Okay, now that the door has been modeled it was time to give it a place to live. I've dedicated this section to modeling the door framing and look of the front door section of the Smial. If you haven't seen it, make sure you check out 'Smial - The Door'!

Duplicated the one side moved and rotated. Had to adjust the origin point to get it to rotate correctly, but it looks like this should work. Going to move vertices around a bit to make it not look so copied like the other window. Going to create a canopy window to finish the frame and accent modeling next.

Added a black body behind the glass to judge the look with refraction. Actually doesn't look too bad now. There's a weird anomaly happening at the edge of the glass. Apparently between the two glass faces. Look close to the left edge of the glass and you can see where it gets brighter before reaching the end. Strange. (Also got the wood grain texture finished on the front faces.)

Started mapping-out the top window piece with the white stained glass. You can see how I use "texture" render mode in the viewport to see how scaled and adjusted me textures are before moving on. [In case you are wondering, the blue edges have been marked as "edges" so they still show sharp thru the smooth shader or subdividing.]
